Being forced to adopt babies to same sex couples and being forced to allow same sex couples the legal right to adopt is two totally different situaions. BTW, anyone who has grown up in foster homes due to the lack of adopting "families" would probably be up for a usually more well to do, happy home. That is hilarious! I heard that rumor from a Democrat friend of mine, and I thought, "Now I'm more likely to vote for Liljenquist - I really like Sheryl Allen!" Great idea. Some of my kids could have benefited from starting earlier, while other could not have. Each child is different. Let the parents decide.

It also becomes clear early on when students have been started too early. Teachers are pretty capable of figuring that out within the first couple of weeks. Then parents can be counseled with to determine what to do about it.

The biggest problem with the last-minute delay is that it won't do anything. Stations still have the right to switch early and most of them already budgeted to shut down the analog signals on February 17. With the sharp decline in ad revenue, there aren't going to be a lot of stations opting to extend their analog transmissions to the new deadline. The entire thing is a PR stunt.

1) Somebody makes a Blu-Ray burner to copy your Blu-Ray (expensive) disks before the grand kids scratch, spill Coke on, or use them as frizbees.

I don't know how representative I am of the general market. But we have two flat screen LCD TVs and two tube TVs. They all work OK (even with digital signals). They all play DVDs just fine. I don't see us moving to Blu-Ray any time soon, despite the fact that every DVD we got for Christmas advertises Blu-Ray.
